PLEASE NOTE: The Airport Authority only hires employees for Building Maintenance, Field Maintenance, Airport Operations, Airport Administration, and Line Service at Mt. Hawley, for a total of approximately 25 full time and 10 part time employees. The airlines, federal governmental agencies, and other private businesses that operate at the airport all do their own hiring, and you should contact them directly. Following are some of the key organizations at the airport, and links to learn about how they do hiring. For the airlines in particular, your best bet might be to stop out at the airport and visit each Station Manager in person to pick up an application.

Beginning April 14, 2025, construction traffic will begin on Phase 1 of the new Air Traffic Control Tower.
Construction will take place for 1 year, immediately followed by Phase 2, which will take an additional year.
For the duration of the project, the main terminal drive will be reduced to one lane between the Old Tower and the merge to Dirksen Parkway. In this section of roadway, outbound traffic will use the left lane, and construction traffic will use the right lane. This is to allow consturction traffic access to the work site (as shown in the map below).
